Ruth Boswell Caseley of Summerside and formerly of Kensington passed away at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in her 87th year.
Born in Tryon, March 7, 1925, daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Profitt) Woodside. She is survived by her husband Nelson Caseley and their children Elizabeth (Roger) Ironmonger, Lake Cowichan, B.C.; Paul Caseley, Port Moody, B.C.; and Brian (Cathy) Caseley, Mill Bay, B.C.; grandchildren, Tracey, Christine, Nelson and Heath; great-grandchildren, Summerlynn, Macalister, Mackenzie and Tiffany. Also survived by her brother, Don Woodside, Sea View; sisters-in-law, Margaret Woodside, Burlington and Valerie Woodside, Margate; brothers-in-law, George Pickering, Kensington, Don Harris, Summerside and Charlie Schurman, Summerside; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sisters, Barbara Harris, Phyllis (Lyle) Hawkins, Rena Pickering and Bonnie Schurman; brothers, Douglas, Ross and Scott Woodside; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Ina Woodside, Clark (Dorothy) Caseley, Velda (Earle) Hogg, Anna (Douglas) MacMurdo; Willa (Ralph) Somers, Edith (Bruce) Riley and Marjorie, in infancy.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, no visitation by personal request.
Funeral Monday afternoon at the Kensington United Church at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Murray Christian Education Centre of the Kensington United Church. Private family interment in People’s Cemetery, Kensington.
