
William Cruickshank
The passing of William G. (Bill) Cruickshank occurred at his home in Walpole, Massachusetts on March 19th, 2011 at the age of 87. Born on June 20, 1923 in Kennethmont, Scotland, he was a son of the late Peter and Jane (Guthrie) Cruickshank. Bill served with the Carleton York Regiment overseas in the Second World War from 1942 - 1945. He had been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for 57 years after moving there from Hibernia, New Brunswick. Bill worked as a mechanic in Queenstown and Saint John, N.B. and as a security guard for Kendall Mills in Walpole, Massachusetts. Bill is survived by his two daughters; Linda and Helen and by his three sons; Gary, Peter and Michael, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by a sister, Marie Gourley of Gagetown and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife Olive M. (Graham), an infant son, Wayne, seven sisters and one brother.
A private burial service was held at Perrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole, Massachusetts.
