It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Toni Farrell, on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the Northside Community Guest Home, where she had resided for the past three years.
Born in Bras d'Or, she was the daughter of the late George and Henrietta (Blazik) Camus. In earlier years, Toni had been employed as a book keeper for J.B. Nickerson in North Sydney and up until a few years ago, co-owned a number of apartments in North Sydney. Toni was content with being at home, looking after her family and enjoying her grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Toni was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Don) Hatcher, North Sydney; her sons, Paul (Janice) Farrell, Ball's Creek, Mike (Jennifer Pye), North Sydney; her grandchildren, Tracy (Mark) Main, Louisiana, David and Nicolas Farrell, Ball's Creek.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Farrell; a sister, Marguerite and a brother, Bernard.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held Monday 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Jake Andrea officiating. Burial at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
