Dorice Nowlan
1922 – 2011 Dorice Nowlan, 88 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday April 8th, 2011 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. She was married to the late Aurele Nowlan (1982). Born in Gardner, MA on September 12th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles and the late Emma (Collette) Bourgeois.
She will be sadly missed by her eight children, Aurella Fulton (Bill) of Irving, MA, Annette Légère (André) of Bouctouche Cove, Marie-Reine Cormier (Euclide) of Saint-Paul, Gisèle Nowlan (Claude Légère) of Dartmouth, NS, Jean-Charles (Laurette) and Claude (Ginette) of Bouctouche, Donald (Bernice) of Saint-Antoine, Jacques (Jacqueline) of Moncton, seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn four sisters, Bernice Williams (Joe) of Shirley Lake, MA, Elda Lagacé (Albert) of Dexter, ME, Rina Roy (Rhéal Léger) of Richiboucto-Village, Esther Bastarache (Normand) of Fitchburg, MA and one brother Roger (Mae) of Grande-Digue, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sons in infancy, and two brothers, Oscar and Edmond.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’Eglise, Bouctouche on Monday April 11th, 2011 from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche on Tuesday April 12th, 2011 at 4:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
