At Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, July 30, 2009, of John “Jack” Eusebe Arsenault, veteran of the Second World War, of O’Leary, aged 83, beloved husband of the late Eva Arsenault (July 4, 2008). Born on Nov. 13, 1925, in Howlan, son of the late Robert and Margaret (Gallant) Arsenault. Cherished father of Alma (Harvey) MacEachern, O’Leary, and Allan, Toronto, Ont. Loving grandfather to Pamela MacEachern (Dominique Vallee), Charlottetown, Shelley MacEachern (James Mallett), Grand Cache, Alta., Amanda (Michael) Bernard, Summerside, Devon Arsenault, Summerside, Haley Arsenault, Summerside, and great-grandchild Parker MacEachern. Dear brother of Lauretta (Arie) Vanderdonk, Yarmouth, N.S., Frances (Earl) Campbell, Kingston, Ont., Beatrice Perry (late Vincent), Howlan, Bert (Georgie), Howlan. Brother-in-law of Ken Blanchard, Cape Wolfe. Predeceased by his son, Bryan, and an infant daughter, Eileen, and sister, Rosie (Henry) Gallant. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 10am then to St. Anthony’s Church, Woodstock, for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Members of Royal Canadian Legion, O’Leary, will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade at the Funeral home on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. Memorials to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated would be appreciated.
