Bernadette Blanchard
1924 - 2011 - Bernadette Blanchard, 86, of Résidence Bellevue, Dieppe and formerly of Lakeburn passed away on Friday, April 8th, 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, she was the daughter of the late James and the late Rose (née: Peters) Lawlor. She loved hockey and was the #1 fan of the Moncton Wildcats, she also enjoyed darts and bowling. Mrs. Blanchard was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Parish. She is survived by three daughters: Carol of Moncton, Claudia (Glen) Fisher of Truro, NS and Sharon (Andy) VanDentemple of Sebringville, ON; two sons: Wayne (Trixie) of Ville St-Pierre, QC and Barry (Rose) of Shediac; one daughter-in-law, Line (late Brian) of Dieppe; seven grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great grandchildren; one step great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward “Ed” in 1975; two sons: Paul and Brian; two sisters: Priscilla and Hilda and three brothers: Richard, James and Edward.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 9 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Loretto Roman Catholic Church, Lakeburn, NB on Tuesday, April 12th, 2011, at 10:30 am. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
