The death occurred at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon on Friday, April 8, 2011, of Rita MacPherson in her 94th year.
Loving wife of the late Stuart MacPherson and daughter of the late Malcolm C. and Margaret MacPherson. Loving mother to Lorna (Ron) Harris and Lincoln (Fern), grandmother to Mark (Adrienne) Harris, Charlene Harris, Jocelyn Harris, David (Valerie) Harris and Rachel Harris, Shelley (Brent) Nelson, Paul (Alice) MacPherson. Rita had 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She has two sisters still living: Annie Webster and Irene Clark. Three sisters: Bell, Miriam and Phyllis, predeceased her along with three brothers: John Alex, Daniel and Duncan.
Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Valleyfield Cemetery. Visitation Monday 7-9 p.m.
