Richard John Mark Gillan passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 55 years. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Hoff, of Turner Valley, Alberta. Richard also leaves behind his beloved children, Jessica and James (Julia); mother, Lorraine Gillan; sisters, Michelle (Gary), Jan, Gerri (Michael); his brothers, Robert (Gwen) and David; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Steven, Nicole, Trevor, Dana, Allyson, Mark, Jacinta and Luke. Richard was predeceased by his father Mark and one sister Beverley. Richard was born on February 28, 1962 in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Seven Mile Bay, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. Richard will be laid to rest with his father Mark, in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Richard may direct a donation to the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry in his name.
