The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Souris Hospital on Thursday, June 8, 2017 of Gerard MacDonald, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Laveta (nee Peters). Loving father of Gerry (Lauretta) and Allan (Sally). Fondly remembered by grandchildren Paul (Sophie) MacDonald, Shannon (Joe) David, Brodie Rice (Jolyne), Katie Rice (Ryan), great grandchildren Kieran, Sarah, Anne, Michael, Declan, Emma and Dawson. Predeceased by infant daughter Arleen. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 6 - 9 p.m. and Monday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until Funeral time. Funeral to be held on Monday afternoon, June 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
