It is with great sadness that the family of Genevieve Gabriel announces her passing, at the age of 85 years, on Friday, July 31, 2009, at home.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gary, one daughter in infancy, sisters, Josephine O’Rourke, Margaret Cormier, Elizabeth Mischaude, Leah Madonna Canning and Elsie McKay, brothers, Vince and John William Canning.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial mass will be held at St. Theresa Church on Tuesday, 10 a.m. with Rev. James Oliver officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
