It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Rose Solange (Gilbert) announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 49 years. She leaves to mourn her husband Alton Whalen of 10 years; her daughter Natasha Gilbert; adopted sister Cathy Halbot; extended children Natalie Whalen, Sylvie Carriere, Roxanne Daoust, Adam Whalen, Nicole Waszak and Marc Whalen; her grandchildren Braxton, Logan, Hunter, William, Nathan and Ajay; her parents Therese Gilbert (Ron Beaudoin), Jean-Guy Gilbert; sister to Suzanne Viel (Yves Viel) and Denis Gilbert (Rachelle Labelle); her nieces and nephews Michelle Labelle-Desrochers, Tiffany Gilbert, Joey Gilbert, Sophie Viel, Renee Viel and Emilie Viel; her grandmother Rose Gaudreault; and numerous aunts and uncles. At Marie's request, cremation has taken place. Friends and family may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 1 pm, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 pm at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edward Terry officiating.
