Albert McMullin, 44, of Union Highway, Scotchtown passed away suddenly Friday, July 31, 2009, in Stephenville, N.L.
Born in New Waterford, Albert was the son of Albert and Mary (Burns) McMullin.
He was a member of the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Church. Albert was employed with Eveready Energy Services in Fort McMurray, Alta. as an operator and at one time was employed with Day & Ross Trucking Services in the local area. He loved travelling on his motorcycle and watching his favourite hockey team in action, the Chicago Blackhawks. Albert was also an avid Nascar fan. But mostly, he will be remembered as an easy going family man with a great sense of humour.
Albert is survived by his wife, the former Gloria Lozinski; one daughter, Kari Ann; and one son, Aaron Albert, at home. Also left to mourn his death are his three brothers, Billy (Brenda), Brian (Pauline), New Waterford, Danny, Sydney; three stepbrothers, Donnie, Tommy, David (Cindy), all in New Waterford; one stepsister, Kim (Paul), Edmonton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his stepmother, Marty MacDougall, stepsister, Debbie MacDougall and two stepbrothers, Dickie and Ikie.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mt. Carmel Church with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in the parish cemetery at a later date.
