CATHERINE TAYLOR
June 27, 1941 – May 31, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine (Kate) Taylor (nee Pearce) announces her peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Care Centre Long Term Care Unit on Wednesday, May 31 at the age of 75 years. Kate was the daughter of the late Isaac and Caroline Pearce. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Taylor Sr., brothers Robert and Frank Pearce, granddaughter Peggy Sue, great granddaughter Lucille, sister in law Annie Pearce, niece Debbie MacDonald, brothers in law Stan (Margaret) Anderson, Gordon Taylor, mother and father in law Blanche and Albert Taylor, nephew Michael Taylor. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories are her children Albert Taylor (Patsy) Port aux Basques, Patrick Taylor (Vickie) Nova Scotia, Dianne (Bud) Anderson MacDougall's, Darlene (Henry) Sheaves, Donna English all of Port aux Basques, Ann (Jerry) Abbott Grand Prairie, Alberta, Daisy Pearce (Jerry) St. John's. She will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren Kayla, Dean, Destiny, Tiffany, Clinton, Jonathan, Jerome, Andrew, Jenna, Emily, Timmy, Jeremy, Laura, Lorna, Sheldon, Sarah and 20 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Hiram Pearce (Linda), Lionel Pearce (Sylvia) all of Port aux Basques, Leo Pearce (Patsy) Nova Scotia, Eva Ingram (Donnie) Deer Lake, Reginald Pearce (Frances) Winnipeg Manitoba, Nelson Pearce (Marie) Eastern Passage Nova Scotia, Esther Chretian (Jerry) Ontario, Ellen Chevalier (Reg) Red Rocks, sister in law Esther Pearce Port aux Basques, brothers in law Cecil Taylor (Elizabeth) Port aux Basques, Jim Taylor (Georgina) Codroy, sister in law Betty Taylor Port aux Basques, special niece Nakita Pearce Port aux Basques, family friend Diane Parsons mother of Emily, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation took place on Friday, June 2 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Sunday, June 4, 2 p.m., from St. James Anglican Church, Channel with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Kate may be made to the Long Term Care Unit at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre.
