Gordon Kelly

Born: October 11th, 1935

Passed on: June 23rd, 2017

Gordon has left us to join those with whom he sang, hunted, fished, played cards, explored the Island, and loved. Gordon was fortunate enough to have found true love twice. First, with Ethellyn Butler who he started life's adventures with, and lost too early. Thankfully, he picked up life's beautiful journey with Rosalie Mosdell, who he now leaves behind. Gordon was also predeceased by his parents James and Anne Kelly and his brother Kevin (Barbara, also deceased) Kelly. He leaves behind his children Janine (John) Sullivan and Shane (Nicole) Kelly, and grandsons, Poppy's boys, Ryan and Nathan Sullivan. With Rosalie came a wonderful extended family, including Rosalie's son Chris (Susan) Hill and daughter Deanna (Richard) Hill, and grandchildren Danielle (Jack) Hill and Alexandre Melano (Keelyn). Those who are left to remember with us and bring us comfort include sister Joan (Jim deceased) Rogers, brother Noel (Pat) Kelly, brothers-in-law Harris (Barb) Mosdell and Chris (Linda) Mosdell, and sisters-in-law Marilyn (Jim deceased) Duffett, Sandra (Paul) Benner and Glenys (Kevin) Dean, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Others who will remember with fondness include special cousin Don Kelly and close friends Don and Judy Piercey. Gordon will also be remembered by his brothers in song, who brought light to his life when he needed it most, the men of the Anchorman Chorus. Gordon was quick to offer a warm welcome to visitors and to lend a hand to those who needed it. In recognition of his compassionate nature, donations in Gordon's memory may be made to The Gathering Place. Visitation will be at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, on Sunday, June 25 from 7-9pm and Monday, June 26 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Gordon's funeral will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Parish Church, 260 Waterford Bridge Road, on Tuesday, June 27 at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.

May we find the same peace that Gordon found in the people,
the bay and the land of
Heart's Delight.
