Viola Mary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Viola Mary Humber, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Viola passed peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home in Sydney River, Nova Scotia at the age of 80. Viola was born in Campbells Creek, Newfoundland on October 14, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Mildred (Cornac) McDonald. Viola is survived by her daughter, Michelle who shared her home; her sons Tony (Ann Marie), Rennie (Lee Tobin), and Roger (Linette Thompson); her sisters Millie, Madonna, Laverne, Theresa, Mary, Hilda, Marie, Irene, Dale, and Gail; grandchildren, Steven, Toni Marie, Brittiny, Kayleigh, Tristan, Isabella and great-grandchildren, Cecelia, Justin, Mason, and Carter. Viola was predeceased by her brother, Steven and her sister Cecelia. Viola will be laid to rest in Stephenville with a service to be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in St Augustine's Anglican Church. Interment at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, where Viola will rest next to her beloved husband Philip. Viola's cremation has taken place as per her wishes.
