(1924 - 2009)- Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2009 after a short illness, Leander Piercey of New Perlican age 84 years. Predeceased by father Robert and mother Rachel. Leaving to mourn brother Mark (Eloise) of Winterton, sister Elizabeth Burry (Edward) of Gander. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Sunday and Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will take place at St. Augustines Anglican Church, New Perlican from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service to take place Tuesday at 2 p.m. from St. Augustines Anglican Church with interment in St. Augustines Anglican Cemetery, New Perlican.
