It is with great sadness that the family of the late Willis Edward Shears announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Friday, July 31st, 2009 in his 70th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his 3 sisters; Marion (Mrs. George) of Rocky Hr, Elaine (Willy) of Ontario and Sue (Morris) of Calgary, sister-in-law; Frances Shears of Deer Lake, his aunts; Violet Shears, and Lorean Humber, also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Willis was predeceased by his parents; Clark and Catherine Shears, brother; Bryant Shears, nieces; Cindy Watts, and Cathy Shears. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Mathews Anglican church in Rocky Hr, on Sunday, August 2nd, 2009, from the hours of 7 - 9 pm, and on Monday, August 3rd, 2009, from the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from, Tuesday, August 4th, 2009, at 1:00 pm with the Rev. John Olsson officiating with the Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Hr. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Matthews Anglican Church Memorial fund in Willis memory would be gratefully appreciated by the Family.
