We are overcome with sadness at her passing, yet we celebrate the life she lived and reflect on the good times and all she sacrificed for our family. Family was her life and she reaped many years of joy watching who her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were becoming. Mom was a kind and selfless woman; she opened her heart and her home to many. She loved caring for others and always made room at the table for "stragglers". Special thanks to all those who cared for Mom over the past few years. Visitation to take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 6-8pm Thursday, 1-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Church on Saturday, July 8th at 9:30am. A reception will be held at the Parish Hall following interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Newfoundland Alzheimer's Society or The Children's Wish Foundation.
