
Floyd Bernard
Bernard, Floyd Martin, 59 of Vancouver formerly of Pictou Landing First Nation passed away June 29, 2017 in St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver.
Born in Calais, Maine he was a son of the late Virginia (Toney) Bernard and a stepson of the late Leonard Bernard.
Floyd was a talented artist and crafter. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing First Nation.
He is survived by his sisters, Lorraine (Ralph) Francis and Cheryl (Frank) Denny Jr. both of Pictou Landing First Nation; a brother Russell Leonard Bernard, Dartmouth; special niece, Kimberly Strickland, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
His remains will rest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing First Nation after 2pm Sunday from where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Monday with Father Tom MacNeil presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
