Retired Sergeant of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary of 25 years, passed peacefully away in the presence of his family on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his father: Corbett Rendell; mother: Laura Rendell (nee Cobb); brothers: George and Corbett; sisters: Stella, Lorna, Gwen, Millicent, Frances and Jean. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving wife of 58 years: Gertrude Rendell (nee Crowley); son: David (Shirley) and Eric (Gail); daughters: Laura (Todd Fagan) and Sandra "Sandy" Morgan (Dayle); grandchildren: Laura Rendell (Shawn), Gregory Rendell (Lindsey), Cody Rendell, Erica Pope (Darryl), Stephen Rendell and Matthew Morgan (Clarissa); great-grandson: Nathan Rendell; brothers: Ron and Howard "Jack" and four-legged companion: Bailey, as well as many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 2:00 pm. - 9:00 pm. There will be no funeral service or burial.
