The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, July 10, 2017, of Joseph Sylvere Gallant of Summerside, aged 80 years. Born in Piusville, he was the son of the late Jerry and Margaret (Gallant) Gallant. Survived by his children Sylvia Parmigiani, Elgan Gallant, Jacqueline Gallant (Marc Beauvais), Victoria Gallant, Josephine (Aaron) Scopis, Christine (Lawrence) Berdhart and Rose McNeil; by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and by a sister Dolly DesRoches. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth McNeil; son Joseph Cyril Murray; son-in-law Vince Parmigiani; sisters Stella (Frank) DesRoches and Dorothy (Elmer) DesRoches; brothers Roger and Ferdie Gallant; Junior Cannon; and by a brother-in-law Lawrence DesRoches. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors.
