57 of Colliers, Newfoundland, originally of Bell Island, Newfoundland, passed after a long battle with cancer, July 29, 2009. Leaving to mourn, sons: Jeff (Lisa, grandson Justin) of Colliers, Mark (Patti, granddaughter Kayla) of Ontario, Bradley of Colliers; Best friend and Life Partner, Brendan (Boo) Whelan; parents Wilfred and Doris Morgan of Conception Harbour and Brendan and Angela Whelan of Colliers; sisters: Rosalind Olsen of Bay Roberts, Ruby Morgan-Tebbs (Gary) of Ontario, Elaine Martin (Ken) of Ontario, Connie Power (Don) of Ontario, Melinda Hayes (Neil); brothers: Danny (Martina) of Marysvale, Eddie of Ontario, Gary of Ontario, Jim (Bettyann) of Bacon Cove, Vic (Theresa) Whelan of Colliers, and Jim (Joan) Whelan of Colliers; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at The Church of Immaculate Conception, Colliers, Newfoundland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Tea and memory presentation at the church hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daffodil Place.
