WADLAND, R. John – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, John Wadland, in his 78th year, son of the late Albert and Virtue Wadland. Predeceased by his twin infant son and daughter John and Mary; brothers: Tom and Albert; sisters: Mary Cole, Margaret Pitcher, May Burton, Marjorie Oliver and Doris Bugden; sons-in-law: Gary Roche and Ralph Thorne; mother-in-law Elizabeth (Tricco) McDonald; brother-in-law Paul Tricco and sister-in-law Barbara Walsh. Leaving to mourn their sad loss, his wife Sheila; son Bob (wife Ruth); daughters: Judy Roche and Debbie Thorne; grandchildren: Tina Constantine (Chris), Kimberly Day, Rick Day, Shana Wadland, Robert Wadland, Curtis Earle, Tara Thorne, Michael Thorne; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Devon, Kaylynn, Mackenzie, Joshua, Logan, Noah, Mackenzie; brothers: Dave (Jennifer), George (Bea) and Arch; brothers-in-law: Ellis Cole, Bob Burton, Don Bugden (Phyllis), Alvin Oliver (Carol Ann), Jack Tricco (Doreen), Bernard Tricco (Pat), Bill Tricco (Hettie), Doug Tricco (Gail), Michael McDonald (Carly); sisters-in-law: Bette Murphy (Dee), Marie O’Rielly (Frank), Mercedes Kelly (Mike), Jean Comerford (Derek), Barbara Dunn (Dave), Brenda Tricco, Kay Wadland, Terry Wadland and also leaving many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 2-9 p.m. Friday and from 10-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
