Renee Strowbridge of Willow Grove devoted wife of the late Roy Strowbridge passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 13, 2011. Born in September of 1942 in Grand Bank, Nfld to the late Ambrose and Dinah (Shute) Green. Renee worked as a cook in the Flight Kitchen at the Saint John Regional Airport; she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Renee will be missed by sons Melvin (April) of Bangor, ME, Ambrose of Calgary, AB, Dean of Willow Grove and Scott (Barb) of Saint John; daughters Pamela Racette and Tracy Strowbridge (Jay) both of Saint John; brothers Bruce (Alberta), Wayne both of Grand Bank, Nfld and Craig (Marta) of Fort McMurray, AB; sisters Anne Green of Grand Bank, Nfld and Ruby Hardiman of Calgary, AB and Betty Handrigan (Les) of Grand Bank, Nfld; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, friends and special friend Laura. Besides her parents and her husband Roy, Renee was predeceased by a brother Morgan Green.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Hampton Rural Cemetery, Hampton, NB.
