Elson Hugh Sutherland 81 Portapique passed away from a lengthy sickness at his home on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
Born in Upper Economy NS., he was the son of the late John and Flossie (Mills) Sutherland. As a young man he worked in the wood industry in BC and ran heavy equipment.
Elson is survived by his wife Jill Prevost; sons Robert, Donald, Ronald, Lawrence, John(Late) siblings: Peter Bond, Portapique; Leota Perry, Valley; Florence Phillips,Truro; Dorthy Pettigrew,Kentville; Hedley Sutherland,Springhill; Darrell Sutherland,Peticodiac NB; Ralph Sutherland,Rodney; Elizabeth Sutherland,Halifax ; Evelyn Creelman, Halifax as well as his parents. He is predeceased by Madeline, Victor, Agnes, Mable, Addison and two brothers (infancy).
