Passed peacefully away at Pleasantview Towers after a lengthy illness, Walter Codner, at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Fannie Codner; brothers Harvey, Charlie and Nathaniel; sister Jennie. Left to mourn his beloved wife Joan of 62 years; sons: Wallace (Lena), Gary, Allen; daughter Sharon Codner-Putt (Darryl); grandson Justin; granddaughter Tina Careen (Tony Stacey); great-grandchildren: Emily (mother Leslie), Matthew and Regan Stacey; brother Al; sister Ethel; brother-in-law Hayward Miller (Laverne); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, July 31st and Tuesday, August 1st from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10-1 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 at 2 p.m. from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove/St. Philip's. Interment to follow in St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line Extension.
