MITCHELL, Minnie Gertrude - 92, of Blomidon Court, Greenwich, formerly of Kentville, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on Belcher Street, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Ida May (Russell) Meister. She had worked in the cafeteria at Scotian Gold for a number of years. She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Dick) Rogers, Canaan, Kings County; a son, William “Bill”, Coldbrook; a sister, Frances Morley, Blomidon Court; a brother, Earl, Coldbrook. She was predeceased by her husband, Earle; a sister, Dorothy; brothers, Carl, George, Henry and Mansfield and infant triplets. There will be no visitation, by family request. A private family graveside service took place at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County, Reverend Tim Archibald and Reverend Barbara Durling officiating. A reception followed at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Kings Presbyterian Church, New Minas. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
