van Oostrum, Nelly Christina - 75, of Grafton, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at home. Born in Jutphaas, The Netherlands, she was a daughter of the late Cobus and Alegonda Sangers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Jessica. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Pé; a daughter, Bianca, Cambridge; a son, John, Welsford; a granddaughter, Jessica; a sister, Joop, Holland; three brothers, Antoon, Leo and Henk, all of Holland, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Anne and Gon; two brothers, Herman and Co and three infant siblings. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, and there will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A Mass of Intentions will be said at a later date in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville.
