Passed away on Sunday, July 30th, 2017, Raymond Joseph Parsons, age 81 years, living in St. John's, formally of Flatrock. Predeceased by his parents Vincent (Vincie) and Mary (Minnie) Parsons; brothers Gerard, James (Jimmie) and William (Billy) Parsons. Leaving to mourn, his sisters, Myra Power and Catherine Connors, his sister-in-law Mary Parsons (Jimmie), nieces and nephews Gerard (Gerry) Connors, Regina Montgomery, Sean Connors, Brian Parsons, Karen Hayward, Pamela Parsons and Christina Wade, their spouses, and all his great nieces and great-nephews. Remembered by his special friends Joan Mahon, John Murphy and a circle of friends from the Basilica Parish as well as many other relatives and friends. Ray will be forever remembered as a faithful, kind and generous man with a great laugh and an greater sense of humour. Resting at Caul's funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers are accepted or donations to be made to the Basilica Parish.
