The death of Henri “Tony” Joseph Chiasson, loving husband of Georgina Chiasson occurred on Wednesday April 13, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1945 in North Bathurst, NB he was the son of the late Ovila and Edith (Doucet) Chiasson. Tony retired as a taxi driver, in his earlier years he worked as a bartender and was a lead singer of a successful band. He loved singing while playing guitar and the outdoors, but his true passion was taking care of his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Richard (Rachel) Chaisson, Preston (Marianne) Chiasson, Tracey (Ricky) Chiasson and Toni (Paul) Chiasson; grandchildren Stuart Chaisson, Leah Chiasson and Nathan (Tiffany) Farren; great-grandchildren Logan Chaisson and Jordan Farren; brother James Chiasson; sisters Catherine Maillette and Mary Chiasson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Jerry Chiasson and sisters Melvina Savoy and Yvonne Sanipass.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held from The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Monday April 18, 2011 at 12:05 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
