Anne Lillian Burhoe (Weir) at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge on Monday, July 31, 2017 in her 103rd year. Anne was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on January 31, 1915 to John Weir and Catherine Qua. At the age of four moved with her mother and siblings to Scotchfort, P.E.I. She graduated from the PEI Hospital School of Nursing in 1938. Dear mother of Barrie (Shirley) and John. Grannie to Lisa and Karen (Colin McAllister), Moira Burhoe (Jerry MacDonnell) and Michelle Burhoe (Trevor Lassaline). Great grandmother to Ellie, Adaira, Courtney, Rory and Bennett. Lovingly remembered by Maggi. Predeceased by her loving husband Syd, infant grandson Andrew, sisters May Weir, Isabel Shepherd and brother John Weir. Anne and her husband Syd were active in First Baptist Church, Charlottetown for many years. Anne was an active member well into her 90’s. Anne sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and played the piano for Sunday School and other church functions. She was a member of the Elizabeth group and was once moderator of the Church Board. As a dedicated student of the Bible, she led her group of friends in a weekly Bible study. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in the People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown.
