Alyre Richard, 86 of Bouctouche and formerly of Acadieville, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 14th, 2011 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton. He was married to Annette (Landry) Richard. Born in Acadieville on July 31st, 1924, he was the son of the late Phillias and the late Geneviève (Daigle) Richard. He was a member of the K of C, 3rd degree, council 7010, Bouctouche. He will be sadly missed by his wife Annette, his fourteen children, Norma Richard (Évérard) of Saint-Louis, Laurette Nowlan (Jean-Charles) of Bouctouche, Linda Toban (Mike) and Valmond of Moncton, Diane Chevarie (Gilles), Cécile Vautour (Pierre), Ronaldo (Kathy), and Daniel (Brenda) of Dieppe, Fidèle (Gisèle) of Saint-Ignace, Sylvio (Brenda), Claude (Monique), Eloi and Donald (Janice) of Acadieville, and Gilles (Sobrina) of Sainte-Marie de Kent. He also leaves to mourn thirty one grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one brother Gerard (Dorilla) of Rogersville, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife Cécile Daigle (1958), one daughter Marie Lorette, and two brothers, Jean-Baptiste and Alderic.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday April 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and at Immaculée-Conception Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Acadieville on Tuesday April 19th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Acadieville Church on Wednesday April 19th, 2011 at 7:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Alyre’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
