WATSON, John Archibald – 77, of Yarmouth, passed away April 10, 2011 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 24, 1933 in Halls Harbour, he was a son of the late Forrest and Muriel (Neville) Watson. John worked for the Department of Fisheries for 35 years. He was a captain of the 14th Field Regiment. He was also a life member of Ducks Unlimited and a member of the Highland Gun Club. He is survived by wife, Sheila (Healy) Watson; sons, Andrew Watson, Salmon River; Matthew (Crystal) Watson, Pleasant Valley; daughter, Janet Watson, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Emily Muise, Brandon Watson and Jillian Muise. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Neville, Gerry and Donald. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. The family had a memorial service on Wednesday, April 13 at 2 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Father Doug Chard officiated. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association – YDS Branch.
