The death occurred peacefully at The Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, August 4, 2017, of Urban “Chris” Gallant. He was the eldest child of the late Frank and Mary Gallant. He is survived by sisters, Bertha Cheverie (Omar), Elsie Pineau (Alban); brother-in-law, Donald; sister-in-law, Louise; and 15 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Eileen DeRoches; and his brothers, Elmer, Peter and Leo. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitations or funeral. The remains have been cremated. Arrangments have been entrusted to Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
