It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear father, Francis Griffin Sr. at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre, Monday August 7, 2017 at the age of 97. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Ellen Targett (Mike), Alice Pond (Otto), Joan Park (Elvis), Judy Pike (Carter), Francis Griffin (Tammy), Mary Pond (Baxter), Leo Griffin (Julie), Jamie Griffin (Ruby), step-son Byron Butt, 36 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine, parents Dan and Mary, siblings Jack, Tom, Ron, Leo, Gerald, Jim, Josephine, Alice, Claire, Lucy; step-son Dwight Butt and step-grandson Byron Butt jr. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 10th at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street with Father Andrew White officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
