SURETTE - SISTER RITA, in religion, Sister Marie-Noëlla, passed away on Friday April 15, 2011 at the Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Dieppe, where she resided. She was 92 and in her 71th year of her religious life. Born May 21, 1918 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Béatrice (Pellerin) Surette. Besides her religious family, she is survived by three sisters: Dorinna, Jeannette and Édith; two brothers: Henri and Laurie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister, Viola, and four brothers: Paul, Ovila, Alphonse and Gérald.
Sister Rita will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d'Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday April 17 from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass.
Solemn Vespers will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday April 18, 2011 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton (858-1900). www.frenettefuneralhome.com
