Darlene Weatherbee
Darlene Jean (MacDonald) Weatherbee of White Rapids Manor, formerly of 214 MacDonald Ave. Oromocto, NB, passed away at the Manor on April 15, 2011 at the age of 74. Darlene is survived by her four daughters; Susan Weatherbee (Leo Tobin), Tracy, NB, Irene Weatherbee, Ballinafad, ON, Maureen Brewer (Greg), Tracyville, NB, Lorraine Weatherbee, Dartmouth NS, her two sons; Richard Weatherbee, Oromocto, NB and Terry Weatherbee, Fredericton, NB, three sisters; Edith Gothreau (Kenneth), Toronto, ON, Anna Kenndy (William) Ann Arbor, MI and Irene Halfyard (Don) River Herbert, NS, one brother, Erine MacDonald (Pat) Ottawa, ON, nine grandchildren; Nancy Harris (Edwin), Michael Buchanan, Darlene (DJ) Russell, Tracy Sampson (Louis), Tara Sampson (Jesse), Shane Weatherbee, Jason Weatherbee(Viva), Terryn Clowater, Samantha Clowater, nine great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Lionel L. Weatherbee (2000), her parents Lena (Burke) and Henry MacDonald, eight brothers; Donald, Harry, Doug, Henry, Art, Ernald MacDonald, Wilson and Lester Burke and Daughter-in-law Sherry (Nason) Weatherbee.
Darlene was a member of the Anglican Church and was a Homemaker to her family when they were young and a cashier for Steinbergs later. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch #93,an avid bingo player, enjoyed bowling, knitting and working in her vegetable gardens.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2011 for visitations from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be from St. Mark's Anglican Church, Tracy, NB on April 19 at 2:00pm with the Bishop George Lemmon officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery. A reception will be held in the church basement. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
