It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick R. Harding announce his passing on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at his family residence at the age of 63 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary (nee Major); son Chris, Corner Brook; daughter Cathy, Ontario and the light of his life granddaughter Emily, Corner Brook; mother Mrs. Ada Samms, Norris Point; brothers: Otto (Maisie), Stephenville and Lloyd (Bride), Norris Point; sister Sandra (Cyril) Payne, Pasadena; brothers-in-law: Victor (Georgie) Major, Tom (Christine) Major, Cleo (Sandy) Major all of Alberta and Lloyd (Joyce) Major, Placentia; sisters-in-law: Linda (Wilson) Janes, Campbellton, Ella (Grant) Payne, Norris Point and Cynthia (Warren) Roberts, Alberta, as well as the Whalen Family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Bryant Harding, step-father Reuben Samms, mother and father-in-law Alma and Wallace Major. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks’ Avenue on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Lighting Fund or to a Charity of one’s choice.
