TRENTON - Daniel Francis MacPherson, 67 of Duke Street, Trenton, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Charles Bernard and Helen (Peckham) MacPherson.
He was a resident of Trenton for most of his adult life. He worked for the first part of his life in the Armed Services, serving two tours in Cyprus with the International Peacekeeping Force. He later worked for the Town of Trenton for many years.
He is survived by a son, Michael (Jennifer), Trenton; a daughter Kathy (Mark), Stellarton; grandchildren: Steven, Mikaela, Bryanna and Cedar; a brother Bud (Thelma), Chance Harbour Road; sisters, Lillian, Truro; Gloria, Tassaslon, Ontario; many half-brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Anna (MacLeod) MacPherson.
His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, from where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Trenton.
Donations in memory of Daniel may be made to the ICU of the Aberdeen Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice.
