STEIBL, Karl - Mr. Karl Steibl passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday, August 14, 2017, age 93 years. Loving husband for 66 years to Hildegard Lore Steibl (predeceased). Survived by one sister Maria Gummerman of Germany. Predeceased by his parents Karl and Anna (née Weissgerber) and many siblings in Germany. Karl was a welder and the proprietor of Cornwall & District Wrought Iron Works located in Glen Walter. Wrought iron railings crafted by Karl can be seen throughout Cornwall and the surrounding area. Karl will be missed by long time neighbours and friends, Paul and Cathy Moise. We’ll keep your clocks running Karl. A celebration of Karl’s life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Riverdale Terrace from 1-3 p.m. Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall.
