It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Neil Lively, on Friday, April 15, 2011.
Born in Sydney he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Hayes) Lively.
Neil was a family man, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman, he took every opportunity to be with his children in the woods. Neil was a great father, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Neil is survived by his children, Tamara (Neil Walker), A.J. (Jillian Nicholson), Bryanna (Timothy Hutt), the mother of his children, Karen Ayre; his pride and joy his grandchildren, Tristian, Kiaya, and Coby. He is also survived by his sisters, Sadie ‘Cibbs’ (Jerry) MacMullin, Mary-Ann (Gary) Morrison, Rachelle (Michael) Ferrar, Florence Lewis (Gloria); brothers, Benny (Jane), Michael, and Sam; sister-in-law, Rose Lively; friend, Tracey King; her sons, Lyndon and Logan as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his brother, Joseph.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held today (Monday, April 18) at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial mass will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Immaculate Heart Church, Mira Road, with Fr. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
