We, the family of the late Florence Ellen Bates, would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the expressions of love, kindness and support shown to us during our time of loss. The food, sympathy and Mass cards, the visits to our homes, the flowers, the many donations in mom’s memory and kind words we received were greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Dr. MacKilliop, Dr. Shariff, Dr. Gardner, Dr. Anne Frances D’Intino, the MacGillivray Guest Home staff and the staff of the Palliative Care Dept. for your wonderful care. Your compassion and kindness will always be remembered. Thank you Fr. Murphy and Fr. Devereaux for a beautiful and blessed Mass service. Thank you also to the Holy Redeemer CWL for the honor guard and the lovely lunch you provided afterwards. The Holy Redeemer senior choir helped to make the service extra special. Thank you to John MacLean who provided a wonderful tribute, to a good Scottish woman, on the bagpipes. Mom would be so proud. Heartfelt gratitude goes to her grandchildren who participated in the Mass as readers and offertory servers and grandsons who were pallbearers along with nephew, Tommy Peters. Thank you to the staff of T.W. Curry Funeral Home, Andrew, Julie, Jen and Bill, who went above and beyond in helping our family get through this difficult time.
