It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our much loved father, Michael Luby, of Tors Cove, on August 26, at the age of 79. Michael was predeceased by his loving son Michael Jr., his sister Mary and brother Wilfred. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories his devoted partner Ruby Cox and family; daughter-in-law Carol; children Francis (Marge), Yvonne (Tommy), Madonna, Mercedes (Michelle), Keith (Tina) and their mother Emmie; grandchildren Sherry (Justin), Leanne (Curtis), Danielle, Sheldon (Amelia), Sarah, Heidi, Thomas, Jordan, Stacey, Gabrielle (her mom Tracey); great-grandchildren Peyton, Brooke, Hudson and Cameron. Also leaving to mourn his siblings Theresa, Gen, Dot, Bill and Tommy. A special thank you to the staff and physicians of 3 Southwest at Pleasantview Towers for their excellent care and compassion over the past three years. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls on Sunday, August 27 from 7-9 PM, Monday, August 28 from 2-9 PM and Tuesday, August 29 from 11-1 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, August 29 at 2 PM, St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Witless Bay. Interment at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Tors Cove with reception to follow at Tors Cove Parish Centre. Donations in Michael's memory may be made to Tors Cove Cemetery Committee or to Parkinson Society NL.
