Brown, Carl Ainsley, 60, of Bible Hill, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rita (MacCallum) Brown. Carl worked for a number of years at Standfield’s Ltd., Truro. He will be sadly missed by his many friends from his apartment building. He is survived by a son Theodore “Ted” (Shelly), Moncton; daughter Annette Wiley (Arnold), Moncton; grandchildren, Breanna, Ryanne, Brody, Carson; brothers, LeRoy (Nancy) Hoffman, Saint John, NB, Jack (Bridgette) Hoffman, Hamilton, ON, David (Marsha) Hoffman, Bible Hill, Eugene (Gloria) Hoffman, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Teddy Brown. Visitation will be 7-9 Friday, and funeral service 2 pm Saturday, August 8th, all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Jeff Goodwin and Rev. Wayne Morris will officiate with burial to follow in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
