PECORE, Len - February 25, 1928 - August 27, 2017 After living a great 89 years his way, he is continuing his journey onward. Len died peacefully at St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre. Elder son of predeceased parents Ranald and Pearl Pecore and brother of Ranalda Tracey (Henry) and Rod (Dianne). Predeceased by his wife of 42 years, June (Cameron). Survived by his daughter Joy McNevin (Richard) and son Barry (Jim Poulos), and granddaughter, MacKenzie McNevin. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. After the loss of June, Len enjoyed the embrace of a loving second family, the Mastermans: Joan, Mike, Heather, Kyle and Ryan, their spouses and children. Dad enjoyed a rich quality of life and support in his elder years due to the love and kindness of Tom and Carol Harpur and his brother Rod and Dianne Pecore. And numerous others including the Picards (Ray, Shirley, Cathie, Alan), as well as the community of staff, residents and neighbours of Riverdale Terrace Retirement Home. An avid lifelong sportsman, Len was a Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame inductee in recognition of his prowess in hockey and lacrosse. He played with heart. Len proudly crafted a legacy with his strong, skillful, creative, loving hands in stone, wood and metal: testimony that he was here.
