Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2011, Ivy (Lillian) Noseworthy of Cupids, aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Herbert & Ena Boone, sister Louise. Leaving to mourn three sons Norman (Marie), Ralph (Linda) and Tom (Pauline) and two daughters Mabel (Bob - deceased) and Ivy (Gary); eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Gwendolyn, sister-in-law Muriel Boone and brother-in-law William Noseworthy and brother-in-law Hector Mercer; special Aunt to a large number of nieces and nephews and a loving inspiration to many of her children’s friends; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation Friday, April 15, 7 p.m.- 9 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday, April 18, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Cupids United Church with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Cupids. Pallbearers Norman Noseworthy, Ralph Noseworthy, Tom Noseworthy, Gary King, Andrew King and Tommy Noseworthy.
