It is with great sadness that the family of Freeman Walters, aged 71 years of Tompkins, SK, announces his passing at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017, after a month-long, hard-fought battle with his whole family by his side to support him. Freeman leaves to mourn with wonderful and fond memories: his wife of 44 years, Helen; sons, Jean (Heloise) of Cranbrook, BC, Kevin (Leigh) of Edmonton, AB and Leslie (Fritzie) of Edmonton, AB; daughter, Bonita (Tom) of Moose Jaw, SK; brother, Charlie (Margaret) of Boat Harbour, NL; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Freeman had a large network of family and friends from NL to BC who will also miss his friendliness and good humor. In keeping with Freeman’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
