Boomer, Helen I. – Truro, passed away on Sunday, April 17 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Mary Fowlie. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; sisters, Frances McCabe and Joyce Kent. Helen is survived by sisters, June MacIntosh and Judy McNutt, both of Truro; sons, Richard (Vivian), Dartmouth and Greg (Margaret), Riverview, NB; grandchildren, Rachel, Darren and Jenna and great grandchildren, Julia, Maya and Sophia along with many nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed knitting, playing cards, automobile drives and Blue Jay Baseball. Cremation has taken place. A reception to share memories of Helen will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. No flowers, by request.
