Alton Pleadwell
Mr. Alton James Pleadwell of Orillia Ontario, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, at the age of 78. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Gallant) Pleadwell. He was a retired truck driver for Allied Van Lines and a member of the United Church. He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Verhaaf (Doug) of Merritt BC, Lisa (Pleadwell) Bill of Chilliwack BC, Wanda Dack (Kyle) of Orillia ON, six sons, Gary (Andrea) of Chilliwack BC, Alton Jr. (Jan) of Lefroy ON, Blair (Yvonne) of Chilliwack BC, Blake (Carol) of Chilliwack BC, Stacy (Amanda) of Sundridge ON, and Shawn of Orangeville ON, one sister, Glenna Gould (Bruce) of Victoria BC, two brothers, Sonny (Phyllis) and Denny (Anita) both of Quarryville, 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Connie Siddall.
Mr. Alton James Pleadwell is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi with visitation on Tuesday, April 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will be in the Quarryville United Cemetery later in the spring. In Alton’s memory donations to Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
