Andre Cormier
1943 - 2011 - André Cormier, 67 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Sunday April 17th, 2011. He was married to Ella (LeBlanc) Cormier. Born in Bouctouche on July 31st, 1943, he was the son of the late Eugère and the late Laura (LeBlanc) Cormier. André was a fisherman for numerous years and worked the last ten years as a sawyer for Eric Goguen and son. He dedicated thirty three years to the Bouctouche volunteer fire department. He will be sadly missed by his wife Ella, his two daughters, Nicole Bourque (Stephane Rousselle) of Cocagne and Jeannine Cormier (Danny Nowlan) of Bouctouche and his two step-children, Donna Gravelle and Stephen Cormier (Lisa) of Leominster, MA., his five grandchildren, Véronique, Annie, Ashley, Sydney, Corey and one great grandson Malik. He also leaves to mourn four sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc (Bernadin) and Rose-May LeBlanc (Normand) of Gardner, MA, Noëlla LeBlanc (Dave) of Dieppe, Marie LeBlanc (Laurie) of Saint-Pierre de Kent, two brothers, Arthur (Cathy) of Pickering, ON and Yvon (Mariette) of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one step-son Ricky (1987) and one brother Gerard (1995).
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
